Pressed Flores y Mariposas Embroidery
$0.00
My love for flowers and fiber runs deep so I combined both of them into my art. I took flowers and foliage that I pressed and placed them piece by piece to make three small garden scenes with textured embroidered wool butterflies. Designed and embroidered by me June 2022. Please note that real pressed(dried) flowers are used and they will naturally fade over time. To keep them from fading fast be sure to not place in direct sunlight. This is delicate so be careful while handling and avoid touching the flowers.
To me the messy guts on the back side of the embroidery are part of the art so I don't back my embroideries. Since I don't back them it is best to hang the embroidery against a wall so that the fabric isn't as sheer.
Contents
Fabric: Repurposed light gray linen
Thread/Floss/Yarn: Cotton floss and wool yarn
Hoop: Beechwood with brass screw, 6.6" outer diameter of outer hoop, 6.2" inner diameter of outer hoop
Other: Real pressed flowers and leaves, PH neutral PVA glue
