RELEASE DESCRIPTION

On Don't Come To My House Sharing Your Location, Girl Talk links up with underground rap eccentrics Michael Christmas and Chris Crack. The project was largely recorded in Gillis’ hometown of Pittsburgh, where all three artists worked together in person, with additional sessions taking place in Boston and Chicago, the respective cities of Michael Christmas and Chris Crack.

The trio have a natural chemistry throughout the EP, balancing humor with earnestness and braggadocio with self-awareness. Girl Talk took the loose and experimental appeal of Michael Christmas and Chris Crack's underground hip-hop and transformed it with colorful, detailed production and a sharp sense of songcraft. It's like a mutated version of a big-budget rap album, complete with ear-catching hooks; its crossover instincts are constantly warped by offbeat sensibilities. The result is a genuinely fun album built on irreverent wordplay, memorable refrains, inspired sample flips, and nonstop shit talking.
