Mt Aylmer

Four aspiring mountaineers make their way towards the summit of Mt Aylmer in New Zealand's Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, traversing a precarious route with a sheer cliff face hidden just beyond the reach of my camera's lens. The night before, they had shared a meal in Kelman Hut, perched atop the Tasman Saddle, in high spirits and on top of the world.
