No GPS. No agenda. Just a highway, windows down, and wonder around every bend.

Phone in the glove box. GPS off. Heading north with no particular address. Then you come around a bend and there's a thousand feet of ancient rock just standing there like it owns the place β€” because it does. God Did That is a road trip anthem for anyone who's ever pulled over on a Wyoming highway, cut the engine, and just stood there with their mouth open. Yellowstone steam rising. Bison doing whatever they want in the middle of the road. The Sinks Canyon river disappearing underground and coming back like nothing happened. Bagpipes and pedal steel wide open like the road itself. No tour guide required. No explanation needed. Just pull over, shut it off, and let it sink in. - Original by Saddle Storms

Β Lyrics: Threw my phone in the glove box, killed the GPS Hit the highway heading north with no particular address Came around a bend and stopped dead in the road A tower of rock just rising up where nothing else grows No sign told me how to feel about it No guidebook explained what I was seeing Just a thousand feet of ancient standing there Like it had somewhere better to be No tour guide needed, no brochure required Just pull over, shut it off And let it sink in like fire God did that Plain and simple no questions asked God took his time, God did that No explanation and no looking back Windows down, radio loud Standing underneath a wonder out loud Don't need to know how, don't need to know why God did that And I'm alive Drove through the gates where the ground breathes steam Bison on the highway like a slow moving dream Earth cracked open just to show what's underneath Old Faithful blowing skyward just to make you believe Then the river disappeared right down into the ground At Sinks Canyon road without making a sound Came back up downstream like it never even left That's the kind of trick that only one hand wrote No tour guide needed, no brochure required Just pull over, shut it off And let it sink in like fire God did that Plain and simple no questions asked God took his time, God did that No explanation and no looking back Windows down, radio loud Standing underneath a wonder out loud Don't need to know how, don't need to know why God did that And I'm alive First place on earth to say every voice counts First to let women stand up and be found Equality written in the high country air Long before the rest of the world got there Mountains older than memory, rivers running free Hot springs warming up the bones of you and me You could drive these roads your whole entire life And still find something new that stops you cold inside God did that Plain and simple no questions asked God took his time, God did that No explanation and no looking back Windows down, radio loud Standing underneath a wonder out loud Don't need to know how, don't need to know why God did that And I'm alive God did that And I'm alive
