The practice of the Divina’s is founded in centering prayer, meaning quieting and allowing God’s voice to be heard. Often we hear, “Be still and know I am God”. This practice calls on you to open your heart and mind, and to acknowledge the voice of spirit when your receive a message. Just because this process is originated in the Christian tradition does not mean it is exclusive to it. Here we use the words of Rumi, Thich Nhat Hahn and the Bible. You have your choice in how you engage, with what you engage with, but the supported practice involved the key concepts of centering prayer/meditation, repetition of the phrase to quiet the mind, silence, receiving, and expressing.
