PHYSICS HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT 5 SOLUTION

  • Explore some of the CERN ROOT documentation. See Lecture 9 for links to the ROOT User Guide and Tutorials.

  • Prepare a physics-related simulation or calculation with appropriate output using ROOT on the ISAAC. See Lecture 9 for instructions concerning how to get started with ROOT and for a wide range of possible examples to adapt.

  • Provide a README file that briefly describes this physics-related simulation or calculation and the technique used.

  • Save your input ROOT command code, README file, and a copy of the ROOT graphic output at ~/p643/outbox/home5.

  • (As usual, follow the general guidelines from the end of Assignment 3.)
