Someone you care about is struggling.

You can see what they need. You may even know what you would do. And sometimes they genuinely need your help.

But there are moments when helping begins to become something else.

You step in before they have decided what they want. You solve something they might have been able to solve themselves. You begin carrying their problem because watching them struggle has become difficult to bear.

How do you help without taking over?

This Guided Pathway explores the difficult space between care and control, support and substitution, responsibility and outcome.

It does not ask you to stop helping, become detached, or leave people to solve everything alone. Sometimes intervention is necessary. The question is what kind of help actually serves another person without unnecessarily replacing their agency.
