Elegant Victorian Box
More than 150 years ago this padded box was illustrated in an 1867 Godey's Lady's Book, which was the Better Homes and Garden or Good Housekeeping magazine of its day.
Because of the shape, padding, and fabric, etc., the measurement is approximate. The large box is about 10" at the top, about 4" deep, about 6" across at the base. It holds a lot!
Use it for sewing, jewelry, or other special treasures. Any 100% cotton fabric handles more easily than other fabrics. However, taffeta, satin, and velvet can also be used.
