These mitts are worked from the cuff up. Two versions of the pattern offer options to work flat or in the round.

Small Size only

To work flat:

A pair of 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) needles

A short 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) circular needle (or double pointed needles) for working thumb sts back and forth

A pair of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) needles

To work in the round:

A set of 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) double pointed needles or a circular needle, 60cm long for Magic Loop method

A set of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) double pointed needles or a circular needle, 60cm long for Magic Loop method

Medium Size only

To work flat:

A pair of 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) needles

A short 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) circular needle (or double pointed needles) for working thumb sts back and forth

To work in the round:

TENSION

Note: Each size is worked at a different gauge to maintain pattern consistency.

Small Size only

26 sts and 40 rows/rounds to 10x10cm (4x4in) over Chart using 3.5mm (UK 10-9/US 4) needles.

Medium Size only

24 sts and 38 rows/rounds to 10 over Chart using 3.75mm (UK 9/US 5) needles.

Large Size only

23 sts and 35 rows/rounds to 10 over Chart using 4mm (UK 8/US 6) needles.
