PENDUList
PENDUList – MIDI FX (VST3, CLAP, AUv2, M4L)
PENDUList is a MIDI effect (MIDI FX) arpeggiator built on a pendulum wave. Hold a chord and every note becomes a pendulum. Each pendulum swings at its own speed and plays its note whenever it reaches its trigger point, so the chord spreads into rolling waves, snakes and cascades. At the end of every Cycle all pendulums line up again and the chord comes back together.
The held notes repeat upward in octaves until there is one pendulum per lane, up to 24 lanes. During one Cycle, from 1 to 32 bars at the host tempo, the first pendulum swings the number of times set by Swings and each following pendulum swings once more. Because every pendulum completes a whole number of swings, they all meet again exactly when the Cycle ends. A countdown shows the time to the next realignment, and SYNC shows how closely the pendulums are aligned right now.
Trigger decides where a note fires: at the edge of each swing, as the pendulum crosses the center, or at both edges. Order decides whether the high or the low notes swing fastest. Accent plays notes softer while the pendulums are spread apart and at full strength as they align, so the wave swells toward each realign chord. Quantize keeps the free swing timing or locks it to a 1/32, 1/16, 1/8 triplet or 1/8 grid, and Spread rolls notes that start together from low to high over up to 200 ms.
Change the chord while holding keys and the pendulums keep swinging with the new notes. Release every key and play again to start a new Cycle with all pendulums aligned.

PENDUList only generates MIDI, not audio.
Place it before an instrument, or route its MIDI output to an instrument track. In Ableton Live with Max for Live, place the PENDUList device before an instrument on the same MIDI track.
