Hand Painted Hooded Jacket

Hand bleached, distressed and painted with oil pastels - sealed with acrylic spray!

This hand painted jacket features:

Front: faces of two characters that I painted with spray paint onto a wall in the warehouses where I lived. I then photographed them and copied them onto the jacket with oil pastels

Back: Faces of people I've met at parties and festivals, some are friends of mine in the warehouses where I live, some were friends I met at festivals when playing drums in bands during the 2000s. All images are referenced from photographs I've taken myself.

This jacket has a hood (painted with an acid themed smiley), inside and outside pockets, orange lining and is super comfy! The pastel drawings have been sprayed with acrylic varnish spray so they are quite well sealed and won't rub off easily (and don't worry it hasn't made the jacket too crunchy, it's still super comfy and moves easily) however it is dry clean only! It will probably be ok in a light rain, potentially medium rain for a short while - but as it's oil pastels I can't guarantee that there will be no transfer of colours etc - it's all part of the fun of having a unique and bespoke piece of wearable art!
