F/A-18E Super Hornet

An F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the “Blue Diamonds” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 146, launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) while operating in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 5, 2025. VFA 146 returned to their homeport of Naval Air Station Lemoore after completing a nine-month mission in the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operations aboard Nimitz, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11.
