How to write an effective essay plan (for A-Level History)
There are only so many types of questions the exam board can realistically ask. The wording might make them look different, but the underlying questions are usually the same.
So, one of the best ways to prepare is by creating essay plans in advance with an outline of your arguments, judgement and the specific evidence you plan to use.
There’s no “correct” way to write an essay plan for A-Level History… but some methods are definitely more effective than others. If you're looking for some inspiration, this mini guide outlines the approach I used myself to achieve an A*.
