Life is full of surprises, and sometimes changes happen when we least expect them. For kids, unexpected changes can be confusing, unsettling, and even scary. This social story about changes is here to help you talk about expected and unexpected changes with your children, how the change makes them feel, and ways to handle change.

This social story is also great for children with autism, who may have difficulty understanding changes in their routine. The clear and simple language, combined with colorful illustrations, makes it easy for children to understand the concepts.

We recommend you print this book on heavy card stock and use thick lamination, then bind the pages together with coil binding, comb binding, or rings. You could also slip the pages into sheet protectors and insert them into a notebook.
