ARPimist (VST3, CLAP, AUv2)

ARPimist is a MIDI effect that turns held notes into a polyphonic arpeggiator performance, where every key of a chord drives its own pattern.

Each held note takes a voice on the board, and every voice runs a clip with its own rate, cycle length, octave ladder, direction, chance, duration and human feel. One chord can therefore walk several rhythms at once instead of repeating a single pattern twelve times.

The rate follows the host tempo from 1/128 up to 1/1, including the mixed 16-8 and 16-8-4 sequences, or runs free from 20 to 1000 ms. Rate, Steps, Octave and Direction also keep a bank of per-voice values, so the voices drift apart from the first note.

Seven views draw the same performance as a piano roll, a circular wheel, pendulum waves, bouncing balls or a column roll, with an optional per-clip colour theme. The header holds thirty-two factory presets, a dice that redraws the rhythm, and a button that ends every running clip.
