Halloween Pumpkin Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

A super simple halloween pumpkin tea cosy pattern for beginners that can be knitted flat on straight needles or in the round. Fits a 6-cup tea pot. The stalk is made afterwards and stuffed with a little toy stuffing.

Sample used Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (55% wool, 33% Microfiber, 12% cashmere, 100m/120yds per 50g ball) - 1 ball of 18023

Subsititute with any orange DK yarn from your stash

A small amount of brown DK yarn for the stalk

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS

To work on straight needles:

A set of 4mm (UK 8/US 6) knitting needles

Tapestry needle

Small amount of toy stuffing or waste yarn

To work in the round:

A set of 4mm (UK 8/US 6) double pointed needles (DPNs) or a circular needles, 60cm (24in) long if working Magic Loop method

TENSION 

21 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm (4in) over pattern using 4mm (UK 8/US 6) needles
