In the text and information that follows in this eBook, we will be focusing on strength training for improved climbing performance. Tips, tricks, and advice will be given throughout this eBook as well as examples of what to do for drills and training. Sets, reps, phase length, pre & post-phase “dos and don’ts”, timing, and scheduling will be discussed and examples will be laid-out to follow as a guideline for your improvement. We recommend logging and noting each workout as you move through your training. It’s important to make notes not only of the training itself and the progress you achieve but also little notes about how you felt going into the workout and how you felt during and after. Note what progress was made. Did you add weight or not? This gives you tangible evidence and benchmarks for your progress to look back on and review.
