This design began in Mexico.

There is a statue of St. Michael at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe that stopped me completely.

It was masculine.

Strong.

Reverent.

Everything the image of St. Michael ought to be.

I searched for a long time for an image that reflected him this way.

When I found it, I sketched it — so that same presence could have a place inside our home.

This print came from that sketch.
