The flash cards that I made throughout Year 12 and 13 to help with me learn all the content necessary, which is exceptionally important in a-level biology, notoriously known for it's content-heaviness.

This list of flashcards covers all the A-Level topics, including:

  1. Biological Molecules
  2. Cells
  3. Organisms Exchange Substances with Their Environment
  4. Genetic Information and Variation
  5. Energy Transfers In And Between Organisms
  6. Organisms Respond To Changes In Their Environment
  7. Genetics, Populations, Evolution & Ecosystems
  8. Control of Gene Expression

The flash cards have been aligned with the AQA specification, mainly inspired by my notes and so consist of a variety of different types of flash cards such as fill in the gaps, image occlusion, list cards and even past exam Q cards. All to help with learning the content necessary.

In total, there are over 500 flash cards, and so it will be overwhelming at first, so I recommend going topic by topic, as each subheading has it's own list of subheadings and so going over them one by one will help instil the information in your long term memory.

Some subheadings may be blank, not because it lacks the information, but because I may have moved the information to somewhere that I see better fits. The list of headings is taken from the AQA Kerboodle textbook, but the content is all based on the specification.

The only type of content not assessed in these cards is any mathsy stuff and statistical stuff. Or the required practicals. Everything content-wise apart from that will be tested on with these flash cards, but by all means add or change them to make them suit your style.
