Jackie Saettone was born in Peru. She began her studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), graduated in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She loves to travel, meet people from all over the world, and learn about their cultures, languages, and customs. For many years she studied and worked in the United States, Asia, and Europe. She has long since returned to Lima, where she combines her business work with her passion for writing. One of her cat's names is "Lulu" (her daughters keep coining new nicknames for her). Lulu inspired the pet, which appears at the end of the first book, and is the protagonist of the second book in the series.

Le encanta viajar, conocer gente de todo el mundo y aprender sobre sus culturas, idiomas y costumbres. Durante muchos años estudió y trabajó en Estados Unidos, Asia y Europa. Ya hace mucho que regresó a Lima, donde combina su trabajo empresarial con la pasión por escribir.
