I am a Jewellery Maker from a small seaside town in South Wales, UK. I had a full time, stress filled job, so started making jewellery to relax. As you know, jewellery making is extremely addictive and before long I starting selling my makes to fund my hobby. Starting out everything was completely new to me. I didn’t know how to price my items, where to sell them or how to promote them. Then I was faced with insurance and tax returns! I was forever asking people for advice and scouring the web for hours on end for help. It took me years of trial and error to finally get on track and I wasted a lot of time and money getting there. My bad decisions and lack of knowledge also lost me a few customers along the way. However, I kept at it and four years later, I am now successfully selling on-line, in shops and at craft fairs around the country. I have a large custom base and a long waiting list for commissions. Before reading on, I want you to know I don’t have an English, Business or Teaching degree, I’m not a Financial Advisor and I am not going to use this book to promote my business. I am just a fellow Jewellery Maker wanting to share the knowledge I learned on my journey to success.
