MALKE CONSULTING LTD, TAROT WISDOM CONSULTATIONS The Tarot I have learned and specialized in is based on the western mystery tradition and has involved a good many years of dedicated study to understand the symbolism, astrology, kabbalah, hermetic truths and deep wisdom contained within its fascinating images. More than that, I have applied them to my everyday life, practising their principles, philosophies and understanding. This practice has been truly tested in my life in the sense of applying them at times of crisis, self-doubt, challenge and by ‘proving them’. Mark Twain once said that ‘the weakest of all weak things is a virtue that has not been tested in the fire’ and it is true that until your ideas about how and what you understand and think are tested, you cannot be certain you have learned their lessons. Out of this experience, some of my clients have instinctively understood how valuable the tarot can be when helping someone through a difficult time or a challenging situation and I have helped many different people from a variety of walks of life progress through testing times. Ordinarily, I would recommend a gap of three months between readings and I am very keen not to encourage anyone to become ‘dependent’ on tarot to make their decisions and guide them – at the end of the day, we all have to take responsibility for the direction we choose to take our lives forward in. However, I do recognise that through difficulty, a knowledgeable and intelligent reader can be a helpful resource in helping us to value our strengths, work on our weaknesses, find a clear direction and to be nourished by the wisdom that can be provided. This does not replace any kind of psychological counselling or psycho therapeutic practice – I must emphasize this. However, Tarot does have a place that cannot be denied in helping people get through tough times.
