Love Of My Life
Winter came with unnerving swiftness, covering my once breathless heart with ice and snow. I absorbed the cold letting it freeze me in, not counting on the mysterious workings of traitorous heartstrings that pulsed life into me the day you showed up like brilliant sunfire, thawing and melting, until I became water under the Moon while you held me up—showcasing our eclipse for the world to see.
I fell into dreams, diving deeper, living with the raw emotions we caused in ripples when I went my way and you went yours. Separated by events, obstacles tearing us apart with only glimmers of hope to hold on to, struggling to be seen in the midst of shattering pain, wrecking our souls with unbearable faith and devastating love through the earthquake of our plans.
Love came like the falling leaves of Autumn. I thought we were over before we had begun. A quick glorious thing, existing only for a day. I don't like gray skies without its thunder nor do I admire clear skies without the Sun. It's always been all or nothing with me. I am never going to settle for less when it comes to finding the love of my life. Back then, I only saw Winter coming and forgot about the start of Spring. I know now that he’s going to be the rain in my thunder, the mountain against my gray and the whole celestial sky above my ocean.
This story is not over yet for the miracle worker of the impossible has yet to close the door on the day when the Moon awoke to laugh with the Sun during this Winter filled with a songbird singing of a forever Spring.

Conquer Your Demons: Embracing Your Victorious Scars
How do we continue to conquer our demons? To fool yourself into believing that conquering your demons that one time sets you completely free from them is a lie. Every day is a battle. Every day is a choice to show up to win the war or to give in to the dark. The life of a warrior is never easy. No warrior alive has untouched skin. Scars cover them. To conquer our demons means we have to get to know them, delve deeply into their dark, understand the root of their existence, know why they have such power over us and then slowly let the light in. It can be extremely painful because the light hits us where it hurts. Our Ink Gladiators from all over the world take a rarely taken approach to stand up to every terrifying demon, unapologetic in their choices as they courageously walk the path ahead lighting the way for all of us.
