Being authentically yourself is not a personality trait, contrary to what its been made to look like. To SEXYCHIC, it’s a luxury. A luxury that most people simply don’t have the budget for it.

Being authentic means your identity is rooted in yourself, above all else. You don’t bend for convenience. Your personality doesn’t lag depending on who you’re talking to. You’re not updating your character every time someone new walks into your life. Instead, you hold the same frequency whether you’re alone, in public, around people you like, or around people who secretly want to be you. That’s authenticity. And it’s expensive, because it costs you the comfort of blending in.

When you’re authentic, you stop narrating your life for other people to “get” you. No overexplaining. No long backstories. No defending your choices. You trust your intuition, your magic, your voice, yourself. You say what you mean once. The energy sorts itself out. People either understand your frequency, or they fall away. Either outcome is clean.

Most people think authenticity is about showing more of themselves. It’s the opposite. It’s about removing everything that’s not actually you: the people pleasing, the suffocating your aura because you’re self conscious of taking up space, the overexplaining, the uncomfortable modesty, to name a few.

This is all easy for me to say than do because ultimately it is about choosing yourself in a world that is adamant on controlling you. It wants you to remain small, doubtful, guilty and have shame in yourself because that’s the only language they know. They don’t know there is another world full of beauty, audacious confidence, big dreams because they are too busy repeating the loops they are trying to vomit onto you. Do you see how maddening this is, let alone feels?

The second you stop doing what everyone else is doing, your energy clears. Your aura feels brighter. Your neck literally feels lighter. People can sense that you’re not trying to be anything. You’re just… present. You don’t care for what Hailey Bieber is calling her nails this week because you already have your own world in yourself. With this, your frequency rises. On the flip side, people will begin to lash out in confusion that you are not their puppet anymore. They will label you. They will say that you’re on a “high horse”. Let it happen. Pay them no mind. Don’t explain yourself. Be indifferent to it all. Remain rooted in your purpose, in yourself and in what brings you true happiness. Not their happiness. Love them from afar if you must. You are your own person.

You have your own desires, music taste, style, love, aesthetic. Embrace yourself more. Look at yourself more, not the mirrors of others. There is no need to be afraid of yourself. You morph into someone else because you have been taught to not trust yourself. It’s ok. Just forgive yourself for this and return back home to yourself.

Did you know that authenticity also exposes your desires for what they actually are? You stop pretending you’re okay with “simple” when your soul has never been simple a single day in its life. I refuse to wear sandals when I am a heel girl. I’ve always done my mundane errands dressed up because I am the glamorous SEXYCHIC girl, hello!

You will notice that in embracing yourself more you stop making your dreams smaller because you’re scared someone will call you unrealistic. You stop hiding your taste for luxury, intensity, ambition, and beauty.

Why? Because being authentic means being honest with yourself without negotiating down to what makes other people comfortable. If you’re a penthouse girl, embrace it. If you’re a cowgirl instead of a princess, embrace it. Seriously. Authenticity is sexy and delicious. It’s magnetic because it’s rare. Not because it’s loud, but because it’s not performing. It’s freeing in this controlled society.

Your rebellious nature will inspire so many. Personally, I feel safer around someone who isn’t shapeshifting to impress me. People can sense when you’re not trying to sell them a version of yourself.

Authenticity is the final form of confidence. It will look different for everyone because that’s the point. It’s not a trend. It’s uniquely you. That’s the energy people gravitate toward. That’s the energy most people can’t copy. That’s what makes authenticity SEXYCHIC.
