Hot men DON'T get pretty privilege from me.
If you’re not bringing value, you’re not entering my world.
I have self rules that I just won’t sacrifice, no matter how hot a man is!
Not for chemistry.
Not for potential.
Breaking them would mean betraying myself, and I’m not that girl anymore.
These aren’t “rules” I invented to feel powerful or dramatic. It’s just what makes sense to me after everything I’ve already lived through. I know exactly what my life feels like when my wants are met, and I know how fast it falls apart when I start making exceptions for men who don’t actually fit into it.
If I’m being honest, I really don’t care how attractive a man is. That has never been enough for me, even when I tried to convince myself it could be.
I like handsome men. Obviously. I’m visual. I’m Venusian. I need beauty. I enjoy it. But attraction has never outweighed comfort for me. It never has. And every time I pretended it might, I paid the price for it later. And in ways that weren’t obvious at first but were unavoidable.
I learned early what it feels like to have your wants met without negotiating for them. Once you know that feeling, going backward feels wrong. Not romantic. Not humbling. Just embarrassing. Like forcing yourself into a smaller life because you’re trying to be nice or flexible or “average.”
Attraction is easy for me. But if I’m being honest, the more I like someone, the firmer I actually become. I already know what happens when I bend my routines, my expectations, my standards just because someone looks good. It’ll always come back to bite in the behind. I used to think that it’s a small compromise and suddenly I was living in a version of my life that feels foreign to me. I betrayed myself in a way.
I’m high maintenance in a very literal way. Not as an image. Not as a personality trait. This is just how I live. I need consistency. I need comfort. I need things to work smoothly. I need to be surrounded by beauty, flowers, warmth. My nervous system does not do well with lack, coldness, chaos or vague promises. I don’t romanticize struggle. I don’t find “potential” attractive…
