There’s a myth that to grow online, you have to be everywhere, all the time.
Instagram. Emails. Reels. Stories. Blogs. LinkedIn. TikTok. Pinterest…It’s exhausting just thinking about it.
And if you’ve ever sat down to create content and felt that tight “where do I even start?” feeling in your chest, you’re not alone.
The truth is, you don’t need to constantly churn out fresh content for every single platform.
You just need a smarter way to stretch what you’ve already created.
That’s where ChatGPT comes in.
Today I’m breaking down exactly how I use it to repurpose my content across platforms—without adding hours to my week or losing the soul of my message.
Let’s get into it.
Step 1: Start with 1 Core Piece of Content (That Actually Reflects What You Want to Be Known For)
If you try to post about everything, you’ll dilute your message and burn yourself out in the process.
So I start with one core piece of long-form content every week, usually a blog post or email.
- Something strategic, story-driven, and helpful.
- Something that makes my ideal client feel seen and supported.
- Something I actually want to be known for.
This becomes the home base for the rest of the week’s content.
Step 2: Feed It Into ChatGPT with a Specific Prompt
Once I’ve written the blog, I ask ChatGPT to help me turn it into bite-sized content I can share in other places.
Here’s one of my go-to prompts:
“Turn this blog post into a week of Instagram content. Include a mix of educational carousel posts, reels ideas, stories, and a soft-sell caption that leads to my offer. Keep it in my voice: conversational, clear, and helpful. Avoid fluff or jargon.”
I paste the blog in right after that, and within seconds, I’ve got a whole week’s worth of repurposed ideas ready to go.
💡 Pro Tip: If you’ve trained ChatGPT on your tone of voice (or used it enough that it understands your style), you’ll spend way less time editing.
Step 3: Choose What to Keep, Then Refine
Here’s the thing: I don’t use every single suggestion it gives me. I skim through and choose what actually feels aligned—then I refine it to sound like me. Because yes, AI is powerful.
But you are the magic. Your stories, your experience, your way of saying things—that’s what people connect to.
I might:
- Add a personal story to the post
- Tweak the hook to sound bolder or more emotional
- Adjust the formatting to feel more skimmable
- Inject a little personality or humor
The goal isn’t to copy-paste—it’s to let ChatGPT do the heavy lifting so I can stay in my zone of genius.
Step 4: Format for Multiple Platforms (With Minimal Extra Work)
This is where things get fun. Once I’ve refined my repurposed content, I format it for the different places I show up:
- Instagram carousel → Add slides in Canva with the main points
- Story series → Share 3–4 slides, add a poll or question box to boost engagement
- Email → Expand one of the tips into a short and snappy weekly newsletter
- LinkedIn post → Use the soft-sell caption with a slightly more professional tone
- Pinterest → Use a graphic + pin description that links back to the full blog
I didn’t create five new pieces of content. I repurposed one and made it feel native on each platform.
Less content creation. More content mileage.
Step 5: Schedule It, Then Rest
Once everything’s ready, I batch-schedule what I can and leave space for spontaneity.
Some posts I schedule directly in Instagram or Meta Planner. Others I just copy into Notes so I can post them manually. The point is: it’s done. And I didn’t spend the whole week on it.
✨ Why This Works (Even If You’re Not a “Content Machine”)
This system works because it’s rooted in real strategy. You’re leading with substance—one strong, intentional piece of content—and simply slicing it up into smaller pieces that reinforce the same message.
Your audience sees your content multiple times, in different ways. Your message becomes more memorable.
And you stop burning out trying to “keep up” with platforms that move faster than we ever will. You don’t need more time. You need a better system. This is mine.
