The Ancestral Car That Had No Wheels: A Dream of Magic and Love

I woke up this morning wrapped in the lingering warmth of a dream so vivid and comforting, I’m still feeling its embrace. I knew immediately I had to share it with you, as it felt like a message not just for me, but perhaps for anyone who needs to hear about the magic of being supported.

In the dream, I was in the backseat of a car, floating down the coziest, most enchanting cottage paths. My grandmother was driving, and my mother was in the passenger seat. The air was thick with a sense of love and safety. But the car…the car had no wheels. It glided silently, effortlessly, just a few inches above the ground, as if moved by intention alone.

We drifted from one magical home to another, and at each stop, I would hop out to gather supplies for my spellwork. It wasn’t frantic or urgent; it was a gentle, purposeful collection, as if every herb, crystal, or token was being handed to me by the universe itself, facilitated by my most beloved guides.

At one point, my grandmother and mother took me to see my boyfriend, Deon. But he wasn't exactly the man I see every day. He appeared a little older, wiser, and was dressed in the most stunning, vibrant Nigeriangarments, a full outfit that spoke of tradition, pride, and deep roots. We spent a beautiful, quiet moment together. He hugged me and said he’d see me later, after I was finished with my journey.

And then my mother, from the front seat, referred to him as my "husband."

The word hung in the air, not with shock, but with a profound sense of rightness.

I didn’t want the dream to end. The feeling was one of complete and total protection. I was cocooned in the love of my ancestral matriarchs, being guided toward my spiritual purpose, and given a glimpse of a love that is not only real in the present but is blessed for a future of depth and cultural beauty.

What This Dream Taught Me

If you’ve ever had a dream that feels more real than reality, you know the power they hold. For me, this was a clear message:

1. You Are Not Driving Alone: Sometimes, we feel the immense pressure to figure everything out, to steer our own lives perfectly. This dream was a beautiful reminder to surrender. Our ancestors, our guides, our inner wisdom—they are often in the driver's seat, gliding us along a path we are meant to be on, even when we can't see the road ahead.

2. Magic is in Your Lineage: The fact that I was gathering spellwork supplies under the guidance of my mother and grandmother felt like a powerful affirmation. Our magic, our intuition, our connection to the unseen—it isn't invented; it's inherited. It’s in our bloodline, waiting for us to tap into it.

3. Love is Meant to Be a Sanctuary: The vision of Deon, older and radiant in his tradition, felt like a blessing. It was a confirmation that the love we are building is seen, not just by us, but by the forces that came before us. It’s a love that is meant to be a sanctuary—a place of warmth, growth, and deep, rooted connection.

I’m carrying this feeling of being protected, loved, and magically guided with me today. And I hope that by sharing it, it reminds you to look for those signs in your own life—the dreams that feel like messages, the moments of effortless flow, and the love that feels like home.
