Introducing Inflight Telemedicine Services
In a move to prioritize passenger health, Emirates is collaborating with Parsys Telemedicine to equip 300 of its aircraft with advanced inflight medical stations. The airline has invested over $2.4 million in co-designing these portable stations, which feature high-definition video conferencing, secure data transmission, and a suite of diagnostic tools, including a 12-lead ECG, pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor, thermometer, and glucometer.
These telemedicine kits enable cabin crew to collect vital signs and transmit data to Emirates' Ground Medical Support team in Dubai, ensuring timely medical assessments and interventions during flights. The rollout has already begun and will continue over the next few years, underscoring Emirates' commitment to passenger well-being.
