Cohort License Terms
What you are buying
The right to reproduce puzzle material from Logic Puzzles for Managers and use it in facilitated training for a named group of your own employees, plus printed facilitator copies of the books.
You are not buying the book itself, and you are not buying a file you may pass on. You are buying permission, scoped to a headcount you name when you purchase.
The three tiers
Team — $400. Up to 25 people. Perpetual. 3 facilitator copies.
Department — $1,200. Up to 100 people, 12 months. 10 facilitator copies. 90-minute briefing.
Enterprise — $2,500. Up to 250 people at one named site, 12 months, renewable at 60%. 25 facilitator copies. 90-minute briefing. Above 250, add $8 per person.
What you receive
• A license certificate naming your organization and your cohort size
• A print-ready reproduction set: all fifty puzzles per volume — scenario, clues, blank solving grid, solution and walkthrough — as a PDF, watermarked with your organization name and cohort size
• Your facilitator copies, shipped
• The facilitator’s guide
What you may do
• Print and distribute puzzle pages to anyone in your named cohort
• Distribute walkthroughs to your cohort after a session has concluded
• Post reproduction-set material on an internal learning platform, provided access requires employee authentication and is restricted to your named cohort
• Run as many sessions as you like, for as long as your term lasts, within your cohort
• Project puzzle pages in a live or virtual session attended by your cohort
What you may not do
✕ Distribute material to anyone outside your named cohort, including other divisions, contractors, or affiliated companies
✕ Charge participants a separate fee for the material
✕ Use the material to deliver training to any organization other than your own employer
✕ Post material anywhere publicly accessible, including an open intranet page, a public LMS, or a shared drive without access control
✕ Alter puzzle content, scenarios or solutions. Custom scenarios are available as a separate service
✕ Remove the copyright line from any reproduced page
✕ Reproduce Team Use boxes, front matter or back matter. These stay in the facilitator copies
How your cohort is defined
You name it at purchase, in this form: up to [number] employees of [organization], at [site or division]. The count is distinct individuals over the life of your license, not people at one time. Training 25 different people across three sessions uses a Team license completely.
Enterprise licenses are capped at 250 people unless you buy additional headcount at $8 per person. A site license with no number in it is not enforceable and we do not offer one.
If you exceed your cohort, upgrade. The full amount you have already paid is credited against the higher tier. We would rather you upgrade than quietly run over, and the credit is there to make that the easy choice.
Consultants and training providers
These terms cover training your own employees. If you deliver training to clients, this license does not cover that use, whatever tier you buy.
Reseller licensing. Consultants and training firms may license the series for delivery to their own clients at a flat fee per cohort, set at 75 percent of the direct license price: $300 for cohorts up to 25, $900 up to 100, $1,875 up to 250, and $8 per person above 250. Annual unlimited licensing is available at $3,000. The reseller sets the client price and retains the difference. There is no royalty on your client fee and no revenue reporting. The reseller supplies the end client name and cohort size so the reproduction set is watermarked to that client, and the license is granted for that client and cohort only. Contact us before your first client engagement rather than after.
Term, renewal and refunds
• Team licenses do not expire
• Department licenses run 12 months from the purchase date
• Enterprise licenses run 12 months and renew at 60% of the initial price
• Because the reproduction set is delivered immediately, license fees are non-refundable once the set has been sent. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it
Attribution
Every reproduced page must retain the copyright line as printed. That is the only condition attached to reproduction, and it is not negotiable.
