I’m Maxime Blanchard, the founder and head coach of MB36 Academy.

To start, I’ve been playing dek hockey for the past 12 years. Over that time, I’ve won several major tournaments in the highest divisions. I’ve captured five world championship titles, as well as playoff championships in the Ligue Nationale de Hockey-Balle (LNHB) in Quebec. I was also named LNHB’s Goalie of the Year in 2023 and was selected as an All-Star Goalie at the Canadian Championships in 2022.

I founded MB36 Academy in 2020, driven by my passion for dek hockey—and more specifically, for the goaltending position. I noticed a serious gap in goalie development within the sport, and I wanted to share my knowledge with those eager to improve. For the past five years, I’ve been studying and refining the art of goaltending and goalie coaching in dek hockey.

I’m also the goaltending coach for the Sport-Études program in Saint-Hyacinthe, the Académie du Camping Île-Marie in Sherbrooke, and the Team Québec Development Program.
