Dan Paul grew up fishing, picking rocks, and building houses in Lake Wobegon. After high school, he conducted a reevaluation of all values and spent 20 years looking for the most progressive, radical, and sustainable ways to live. After writing 15 nonfiction books on a philosophy of design, action, and multiplicity, he has focused on science fiction.
