zodivk

Creating sample-based hip-hop, R&B and trap gems, with the intention of “fixing parts I didn’t like in songs I loved,” zodivk launched his project back in 2015 after coming across Ta-ku’s “Drive Slow, Homie” mix series, which he vividly remembers as an enlightening moment. Through an immersive and ever-expanding catalog, zodivk has slowly managed to turn this small idea into a cult, characterized by his "(+)" signature, meaning “more or better” than the original.

Usually, that means flipping R&B records with central themes of love and heartbreak to craft sexy R&B/trap-infused beats, becoming one of the first projects on SoundCloud that were categorized under the “bounce” subgenre. zodivk isn’t only limited to that however; his desire for experimentation and hypnotic production style have allowed him to amass over 10 million streams on Spotify, more than 4 million plays on SoundCloud, and receive acclaim from the likes of tastemakers Soulection and Majestic Casual, as well as artists such as Alina Baraz and Smino.
