Coaching doesn’t transform you. You do.

How many times have you heard it?

- This will change your life.

- Transform your mindset.

- Unlock your full potential.

It’s everywhere, those shiny promises of guaranteed growth, quick breakthroughs, neat outcomes.

I’m a coach. I also coach and train other coaches and here’s my take on this wonderful, complex world that we inhabit:

No programme, tool, or coach can transform you, unlock your potential, or change you life!

💚A good coach holds space, steadily, without judgement.

💚They act as your mirror and your thinking partner.

💚They notice what’s said… and what isn’t.

💚They ask the questions that help you hear yourself more clearly.

💚They offer supportive challenge, not easy answers.

💚They reflect, encourage, nudge, and disrupt…gently, but purposefully.

💚They walk alongside you, not ahead of you.

But nothing changes unless you want it to.

And no matter how skilled the coach or how clever the tool, the work is yours. The meaning is yours. The transformation, if it happens, is yours.

So I won’t make promises I can’t keep and I won’t pretend that 1871 will change your life.

I don’t know what you’ll find when you sit with a card, or where the GPT conversation partner might take you.

Sometimes it offers clarity. Sometimes it stirs things you didn’t expect. And sometimes it just gives you a quiet place to land.

There’s no blueprint here. No map and no fixed destination.

Just space, story, and time to explore your thoughts and the questions that actually matter.

I don’t know how your story will unfold.

But I do know this… if you want to, you’ll bring the meaning and put the work in to get you to where you want to be.

And I’ll be here, behind the scenes, in the dust and pages, creating the space to help you listen more deeply and live more honestly.
