Meet the Man Behind the Movement
Niamkemudera Muhammad
Artist | Author | Entrepreneur | Father | Oakland Original
Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Oakland, California, Niamkemudera Muhammad is a voice forged in rhythm, resistance, and relentless self-determination. A musician, entrepreneur, father, and freedom thinker, his journey reflects a life rooted in purpose, hustle, and love for his people.
From a young age, Niamke was building. At just 12 years old, he transformed his parents’ basement into a neighborhood movie theater. By 15, he had turned it into a full barbershop. Before most teens had their first job, he was already managing businesses and building community—proof of a mind wired for vision and motion.
Always gifted in numbers, Niamke began college as a math major before earning an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting. But long before degrees, music was already in him. Inspired by the heavy beats blasting from his older brother’s stereo, he started rapping at 12—and turned his voice into a force for truth.
Under his own independent label, Music Math & Money Records, Niamke writes and releases music that means something. His track Can We Stop is a raw, heartfelt plea to end the crack epidemic in Black communities. She’s Having My Baby, a deeply personal anthem, has earned over 1 million views on YouTube and continues to resonate across generations. His sound isn’t just entertainment—it’s a message.
But Niamkemudera Muhammad’s vision goes far beyond the studio.
Founder of The B Network Group
Through this visionary nonprofit, Niamke is creating a legacy of economic empowerment. The B Network Group is committed to awarding $50,000 to an African or African American with a solid business plan—twice a month, every month, for the next 100 years. The mission is fueled by the collective: 4 million people each donating $50 to build a fund that transforms ideas into enterprises, and dreams into institutions. This isn’t a handout—it’s a long-term investment in Black futures.
Founder of Hella Happy Clothing
Hella Happy Clothing is more than fashion—it’s a movement. Centered on city pride, inclusivity, and unapologetic self-expression, it’s for people who love where they’re from and love who they are. Whether you're repping Oakland or anywhere else, Hella Happy lets you wear your pride out loud.
Working full-time as a barber in San Francisco, Niamke stays grounded—connecting with his community every day, one conversation at a time. His chair isn’t just where people come for a cut—it’s where healing, insight, and real talk happen. He is also a proud father of two, raising the next generation with love, awareness, and bold intention.
His debut book, 200 Years: From Niggas to Gods – A Guide to Becoming a Mature Nation, is more than a title—it’s a challenge, a roadmap, and a declaration. It calls on Black people everywhere to rise, evolve, and live life fully—to enjoy the Earth’s beauty, wealth, and joy just like anyone else.
Because the Black choice belongs on the shelves.
The Black voice belongs in the future.
And the world belongs to us all.
