🧭 How We Test Our Itineraries Before We Publish Them

And Why Every Hotel We Recommend Is Personally Experienced

At 678 Travel, we don’t publish theoretical itineraries.

Every guide you see on our platform is written by us — and experienced by us.

Before we recommend a destination, route, hotel, or activity, we personally embark on the journey ourselves.

Because planning travel on a screen is very different from experiencing it on the ground.

✈️ Step 1: We Travel the Route Ourselves

Before an itinerary is published, we:

  • Take the exact transport routes we recommend
  • Time the transfers between attractions
  • Test whether the walking distances are realistic
  • Observe peak hour congestion
  • Evaluate whether the daily schedule feels rushed or balanced

If a day feels too packed in reality, we adjust it.

If transport is more complicated than expected, we simplify it.

If something looks good online but feels underwhelming in person, we remove it.

We believe itineraries should feel smooth — not stressful.

🗺️ Step 2: We Group Attractions Logically

Many online guides list attractions randomly.

We test and refine based on:

  • Geographic clustering
  • Travel time efficiency
  • Crowd patterns
  • Weather considerations
  • Rest opportunities (especially important for families)

Our goal is simple:

Maximum experience, minimal backtracking.

💰 Step 3: We Evaluate Value for Money

Not every popular attraction is worth the price.

During our trips, we assess:

  • Does the experience justify the cost?
  • Are there better free alternatives?
  • Is the premium option significantly better than the standard one?
  • Would we pay for this again?

If the answer is no, it doesn’t make it into our guides.

🏨 Why We Only Recommend Hotels We’ve Personally Stayed In

This is one of our strictest policies.

The hotels included in our itineraries are places we have personally stayed in and experienced ourselves.

We do not recommend properties based solely on:

  • Online ratings
  • Sponsored partnerships
  • Affiliate incentives

Instead, we evaluate hotels based on:

1️⃣ Location Efficiency

Is it near public transport?

Does it reduce commute time?

Is it safe and well-lit at night?

A slightly more expensive hotel that saves 1–2 hours daily is often better value overall.

2️⃣ True Value for Money

We assess:

  • Room cleanliness
  • Noise levels
  • Bedding comfort
  • Shower pressure
  • Wi-Fi reliability
  • Storage space

Because “budget-friendly” should never mean uncomfortable.

3️⃣ Accessibility & Family Suitability

Where relevant, we check:

  • Lift access
  • Family room options
  • Surrounding amenities (supermarkets, pharmacies, food options)

We recommend hotels that make your trip easier — not more complicated.

📊 Step 4: We Recalculate the Entire Trip Cost

After completing the trip, we break down:

  • Average daily transport cost
  • Realistic meal budgets
  • Attraction entry fees
  • Hidden costs (city tax, service charges, peak pricing)

This ensures our guides reflect realistic spending — not optimistic estimates.

🤝 Why This Matters to You

We started 678 Travel because we once felt overwhelmed by unreliable information.

We were young travellers with limited budgets.

We didn’t want guesswork.

We wanted clarity.

That’s why today:

  • Every itinerary is written by us
  • Every hotel recommendation is personally experienced
  • Every transport route is tested
  • Every guide is refined after real-world execution

When we recommend something, it’s because we would confidently book it again ourselves.

🌍 Our Commitment

We are not here to promote the most luxurious options.

We are here to promote the most logical ones.

Travel should feel exciting — not uncertain.

And if we wouldn’t personally stay there, take that route, or pay for that experience again — we won’t recommend it to you.

That is the 678 Travel standard.
