🌺 HAWAIʻI ROOTS

I was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaiʻi, surrounded by family, community, and the kind of sports culture that only our islands understand. I grew up with two siblings, running around fields and courts, watching games, and feeling the energy of Hawaiʻi athletes long before I ever picked up a camera.

Photography wasn’t something I planned. It started as something to do at a baseball game — just me experimenting, clicking around, not thinking much of it. But everything changed when my grandpa handed me his old camera. That moment felt different. It felt like possibility. Like maybe this wasn’t just a hobby… maybe it was something real.

And then my mom told me, “Why don’t you start selling your photos?”

That’s when it clicked. That’s when it became serious. That’s when I realized I could turn something I loved into something meaningful.

Behind the camera, I feel pride — not just in the shots I take, but in the smiles they create. There’s something powerful about being proud of something that makes someone else happy. That feeling is why I keep going.

808 isn’t just some numbers to me. Within those three numbers is a place we call home — a place unlike anywhere else. It’s family, culture, pride, legacy, and a sense of belonging that’s special to me in ways I can’t fully explain. It’s who I am, and it’s why I shoot the way I do.

My mission is simple:

I want every play to become a moment, and every moment to become a memory of heart, hustle, and legacy.

That’s what 808 Sports Photography is built on.

That’s what I stand for.

That’s what I hope every athlete and family feels when they look at my work.
