Many years ago I was called to help serve those who were dying and the families journeying through the End-of-Life experience. The years as a Children and Adult Hospice Volunteer, Bereavement Support Volunteer and Death Doula have encouraged me to live life with eyes wide open, sharing the gratitude and lessons I've learned along the way. One of the biggest lessons learned is that “Life-shifting days can begin with a grateful heart. Gratitude is an opening for a spark of light to shine through, especially on the darkest of days where grief and growth can challenge the hardiest of spirits.
