Real-Life Confession
Okay, let’s be honest.
Sometimes when we say, “Lord, bless me,” what we really mean is, “Please fix this bill, this stress, this situation… immediately.”
And there is nothing wrong with wanting God’s blessing. We need it. We depend on it. We survive because of it.
But there’s something powerful about shifting the prayer from “Bless me so I’m comfortable” to “Bless me so I can overflow.”
Because overflow hits different.
Truth Shift
Luke 6:38 isn’t just about money. It’s about posture.
God’s kingdom runs on generosity — of love, grace, kindness, forgiveness, encouragement, time, and yes, provision. When we open our hands instead of clenching them, heaven responds.
This verse is basically God saying:
“You won’t run dry by being generous. I refill what you pour out.”
You are not a container meant to hoard blessing.
You are a conduit meant to carry it.
And the beautiful part? When you ask to be a blessing, you position yourself for overflow.
Personal Application
Today, your smile could steady someone.
Your text could lift someone.
Your prayer could cover someone.
Your patience could calm someone.
Being a blessing doesn’t always require a platform — it requires willingness.
And when you wake up saying, “Lord, use me,” heaven leans in.
Because God trusts those who want to reflect Him.
Holy Clapback
Scarcity does not control me — I live from overflow.
I am blessed on purpose and for purpose.
Throwback Prayer
God, thank You for every way You’ve already blessed me — seen and unseen. Today, don’t just bless me for me. Stretch my heart. Use my words. Guide my actions. Let me carry Your kindness into every room I step into. Fill me so full that what spills out looks like You.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Affirmation
I am blessed by God and positioned to bless others.
Optional Action Step
Ask God this morning: “Who needs encouragement from me today?”
Then act on the first name that comes to your heart.
