During the next month

During the next few weeks, I will be transferring my eBook content from Draft2Digital to here. I see no point in limiting the eBooks to a site where the possibility of me seeing royalty fees, is next to nil. On that site, I am fortunate to be paid once in 3 years, as they have a minimum payout of $10.00, but keep withholding fees so the writer never sees a payment.

I did warn some of my writing colleagues of the possibility that Smashwords was of no use, what roused my concerns was they way a small firm such as them can make the founder a multi-millionaire against a global giant like Amazon.

From the outset, I smelled something off with Smashwords; it is good policy to go where the competition isn't, but most of the area covered by Smaxhwords is water - the Pacific Ocean. It wasn't long before writers were complaing that their books were selling, but they were not seeing the fees. I know this to be true, it has happened to me; countless times, I contacted the site, only to be ignored.
