This eBook has an interesting story to it.
Before I tell you the story, why is this a Special Edition?
This is a collection of the four versions of my story, two are no longer available to read online.
Version 1 is my original - unedited - short story.
Version 2 is the version edited by my friend Emma Louise Oram. At the time of the story, Emma was the editor of Vintage Script magazine, as I had a reputation for writing a good ghost story, I suggested I should write one for the Christmas edition of the magazine.
Emma asked if I had any stories she could add to her Halloween Special she was putting online for Halloween 2012; I suggested Old Church Ghosts. With a little editing, my story was published for Halloween that year, not long after it was taken down when the season was over.
I thought I had lost both of the early versions, but they turned up in the recycle bin.
The third version is the family-friendly version edited by my former friend, Paula Shene, for the charity books run by The Peacock Writers for several years, to help children in the USA. It was Paula who asked if I wished to join the group; we were in a writing community with its headquarters in Germany at the time, and I was considered one of the best writers on the site.
The fourth version is my horror edition. In this edition, I let my imagination run free, and what a story was written!
For the price of one eBook, you get four short stories in the edition.
The interesting part of the story behind the story is despite this being one of my popular ghost stories, I never liked it; I considered it too short.
Part of the story bears a relationship to my life, towards the end, the part about losing a friend happened to me.
