How Ayurveda provides the explanation for Dryness?

In the Ayurvedic viewpoint, the healthy or unhealthy aspects of the physical, mental or functional body are the bases called Tridoshas. They are named Vata, Pitta and Kapha The equilibrium of these results in health and the imbalance causes diseases. Ayurveda is designed to re-establish balance and remove symptoms by the use of medicinal plants and foods to balance unhealthy lifestyles, seasonal changes and other doshic imbalances.

5 Easy And Effective Methods For Winning Against Skin And Scalp Dryness:

1. Ayurvedic oils:

One of the ways to prevent and cure dryness is to assure by your daily moisturisation regimen. Massages with ayurvedic oils, twice in a day can play an important role in preparing your body well for the chilly weather. Eg:Kumkumadi tailam, Eladi tailam,Sesame oil

2. Fruit pack:

Eg:Strawberry face pack: Simply, mash a strawberry and add one tbsp of rose water. Mix it well and make a smooth paste. Apply this paste to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Wash off with cold water.

3. Rosewater: Wash your face or add rose water to your face packs for promising effects.

4. Hair pack:

Mix 1 tbsp fenugreek seed powder,1tbsp Triphala churna and 1 bowl curd and keep it overnight. Next morning apply on hair from root to tips. Put on a plastic shower cap and wait for at least 1 hour. Wash off with a mild shampoo. Do it once or twice a week.

5. Detox Water: Add Neem leaves to boiling water; then add this water to bathing water for both hair and skin.

All the above methods give the results by continuous usage on regular basis. External application of medicated oils and packs can help to some extent, but beyond a point, as age progresses, it would require major dietary and lifestyle modification.
