Do You Know The Terms In Yoga And Knowledge Perception

The main terms involve:

  • Chitta
  • Budhi
  • Ahamkara
  • Atma.

These all are the connection of sense organs with our brain according to Ayurveda.

1. Chitta

  • It has many aspects.
  • It is the sensory coordinator
  • whose emotions are mainly seated in the mind.
  • It is the faculty which interacts with our brain with the external environment.

The working principle:

✔Without a mind we never sense.

✔Without sense we never understand.

✔Without understanding we don’t get knowledge.

✔ And you know the action is the fruit of knowledge.

2. Ahamkara

It is ego, it has a different level, this is on the e of protective mechanism for younger ages.

But in the later stage of life, it is attributed to a particular profile and we can’t tolerate it without that profile.

3. Budhi

It is the intelligence or memory which has a logical aspect, we can think about what is appropriate for the situation.

4Atma

This is soul, which is not at all scientifically proven but the initiative factor for the other faculties can be compared to Atma.

So the steps involved in the perception of knowledge are:

With sense organs by the attachment of the mind, the first perception is happening to the brain.

It is processed by the brain by interpretation, experience, assumption and previous experiences known as knowledge according to each individual.

After that knowledge, it results in on.

So if any abnormalities in these levels are results in a bad action or inappropriate action it is called mental illness according to Ayurveda.

That's all for this topic
