Yoga begins to play with me during my college days. I stepped into it at the age of 20 gave me a well-built, confident body as well as mind. Nothing was holding me back from a busy calendar even after 18 years. I have undergone different transformations physically and mentally but still pretty well in it and enjoying the effects which fill my mind and soul. Yoga is only a part of Ayurveda. It is included in Ayurveda for n “Klesa tanookaranartham”.Because the aim of Ayurveda is attaining "Sukha"..means enjoying life with the proper awareness of proper and improper, pain and pleasure by this we get the maturity to handle the different extremities of life moderately with a stable mindset. So according to philosophy, Yoga makes sense only with the involvement of the mind. It is always integrated with an enlightening experience. It is the difference between Yoga and a simple workout, later is always flooded with sweat and calorie burning.
I can gladly say it never brought you stress, a painful body or overwhelming. Yoga is not only abouposturess only a wanted person will get the complete effect of yoga. It needs continuous practice and always keeps the consistency which should be in life long. It never gets in sudden, pursuing, implementing, executing practising all we want to develop gradually. Yoga is a complete realisation and distancing ourselves from the external world to the internal world. It is the purificatory process. It is “Chitta vrithi nirodha” which means steady the mind on gradually advancing stages with nurturing of thoughts towards the inner sights. So there is a stage of liberation is happening. This is called Moksha where no desire that attach to the external world.
Before practising the postures always remember there want purification in mind. These include
1. Ahimsa- Non-violence, there is a good example of our father of the nation, a human who unbelievably use the strength of non-violence Mahatma Gandhi
2. Sathya-Saying the truth
3. Astheya- Non-stealing
4. Brahmacharya -Discipline in sex
So before practising the postures the mental practices above mentioned are absolutely important. But nowadays the mental aspects are not at all considering but the body maintenance for shaping the body, preventing diseases etc are major. This is one of the main differences between yoga and gym exercises.
So if you are ready for a complete purification which includes the mental and spiritaspectspect you should always practice the real Yogic philosophy
