Kid-Friendly Perfection and Mandala Challenge Update
Hello, beloved coloring community,
My Amazon coloring book status updates are exciting. The quest to restore quality has been arduous, but we are seeing progress.
First, the new proof copies of the children's coloring books are great! My youngest daughter has started coloring them with zeal, the ultimate quality test. ;)
A close-up video of the improvements is in the works. Expect shortly!
The Mandala Dilemma: In Progress
For those eagerly awaiting the Mandala Coloring Book, it will take longer. Why? Because adult coloring books, especially Mandala-themed ones, are distinct from children's books.
Children's coloring books prioritize affordability over paper thickness. Standard 80-90 g/m² paper is most of the time enough. No matter the paper quality, kids color quickly, often filling a page.
Paper thickness is important for adult coloring books like Mandalas. To avoid bleed-through and promote precise coloring, use 150 g/m²+ paper. The catch: thicker paper costs more. Whoever has bought artist-grade sketchbooks or paper blocks knows they're expensive.
So it's a balance. On one side, I want to give you a superior paper that suits sophisticated adult coloring. However, I understand that a large price increase may deter some of you.
Looking Ahead
While I search for the perfect balance between quality and price, I want to thank you all. Your tolerance and understanding during these struggles are crucial.
My pals, get your colored pencils and markers. I'm working hard to make the Mandala Coloring Book worth the wait while the children's books are almost back.
Keep adding color to your world and stay tuned for updates!
Warm regards,
Sarah
