From Imagination to Pages: My Journey of Writing DragoNoa

Ever since I was young, I’ve carried entire worlds in my head about dragons soaring above storm-filled skies, battles against monsters and demons, and the quiet, unshakable bond between two souls who find love even in chaos. For years, those visions stayed locked inside my imagination.

That changed when I finally decided to bring them to life in words.

Like many new authors, I started small by scribbling down fragments of story ideas, sketching out characters, and building a world where dragons, elves, assassins, and humans collide. I used my tablet and Google Docs to capture those bursts of inspiration, often late at night after work or during quiet afternoons. Writing became my side hustle, but also a passion for a way to release the stories I’ve carried for so long.

I’ll be honest: writing wasn’t always easy. My grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure weren’t perfect. That’s where tools like grammar checkers and even AI brainstorming helped me refine my drafts. Still, the heart of the story like the battles, the betrayals, the sparks of love...all came from me.

Once the manuscript began to take shape, I moved it into Microsoft Word to meet Amazon’s publishing guidelines. Learning about bleed, margins, and formatting felt like a whole new challenge. Then came the design process. I created my own cover in Canva, carefully making sure it was both striking and original, while respecting copyright rules.

Finally, after late nights, countless edits, and more coffee than I can admit...my book was ready to submit to Amazon KDP. The day it went live, I felt both excitement and nervousness. Would anyone read it? Would my world connect with theirs?

Not long after, I discovered Payhip. A platform that, like Amazon, gives independent authors the chance to share their work with the world, but also allows for direct connection with readers. I realized that combining both Amazon and Payhip could expand my opportunities, turning my writing into not just a hobby, but a growing business. For me, Payhip became another way to showcase my talent, reach new audiences, and learn how to market my stories independently.

Now, I’m learning another side of being an author: promotion. From social media posts to TikTok videos, I’m stepping into marketing with the same energy I put into writing. My hope is that those who pick up DragoNoa will not only find dragons, demons, and epic battles, but also discover the heart of the story and the belief that even in a world full of shadows, love and hope can survive.

This is just the beginning of my journey as an author, and I’m grateful to have you here with me.
