Welcome to Atelier553, a family-owned business founded by Andy and Emma with a mission to empower with practical skills for property renovation and maintenance.
Our journey began when Andy, drawing from his experience as a plasterer in the Dordogne region, noticed a growing demand among expats who wished to renovate their properties themselves but lacked the necessary skills and knowledge of local materials.

Meet Andy
Andy Bracegirdle is an experienced plasterer who began his career in restoration at York Minster. With years of experience working in France, Andy has mastered local materials and traditional methods. He is passionate about sustainable building practices and brings a wealth of knowledge to his teaching.
