Meet the Gaidos ⋆

Guan

Inspired by: Anxi Tie Guan Yin (Wulong Tea)

Traits: Confident, skillful, hardworking

When you think of great adventurers, you probably imagine big, tough explorers who never skip a day at the gym swinging through jungles and uncovering lost treasures. But no one would expect someone like Guan to take on giant monsters, face powerful enemies, and set off on an adventure!

Guan proudly calls herself Gaidopia’s greatest adventurer. She’s brave, never backs down from a challenge, and is always looking for her next big quest. She’s quick on her feet, full of energy, and never afraid to take risks.

A lot of people doubted her and were even concerned when she wanted to take the path of being an adventurer but no one could stop her when she knew it was her true calling.

When she’s not off on an adventure, Guan loves to read books, enjoys mapping out new places, collecting interesting trinkets from her journeys, and practice sword fighting (with some safety gear of course).

Dian

Inspired by: Wild Arbor Dian Hong (Black Tea)

Traits: Usually shy and a bit clumsy, but also very smart!

Feeling frustrated is one thing, but the frustration of losing a spelling bee to a 6-year-old who flawlessly spells "anthropomorphic" is another. Dian would be that 6-year-old Gaidopian you’d lose to.

She’s read so many books that she ran out of space and decided to open her own library in Gaido Village!

When she's not organizing bookshelves or sending notices for overdue books, Dian actually knows how to have fun. She loves unwinding with a good book, solving mysteries, and writing her own stories inspired by the many adventures she’s read about.

She spent most of her life trying NOT to be noticed, which led to some pretty embarrassing moments—like tripping over her own feet while escaping a crowded room or walking while reading and falling straight into a Gaidopet burrow (let’s just say that Gaidopet was not amused).

Writing became her voice, helping her share her thoughts and connect with others. Now, even if she’s still a little clumsy, she never stumbles when it comes to telling a great story. She eventually found courage in her words.

But Dian wasn’t always the confident bookworm she is today. Expressing herself felt impossible, so she often hid behind her books. She had thoughts and ideas she wanted to share, but speaking up was never easy.

Sen

Inspired by: Sencha Green Tea

Traits: Quiet, Introverted, Knowledgeable.

If you want to go for a swim at Gaidopia’s sunny and clear beaches but find a green-haired guy looking around the sand near the shore with a magnifying glass looking like he lost a contact lens, you will actually find the very curious Sen trying to learn more about the sea. Quiet and introverted, he usually keeps to himself, but if you ask him about Gaidopia’s study on the components of sand, you realize your mother called you for dinner 50 lifetimes ago.

Sen knows almost everything about the ocean and dreams of becoming a great marine biologist. He spends his days exploring, fishing, treasure hunting, or even practicing archery in his free time. Whether he’s studying tide patterns, sketching newly discovered sea creatures in his notebook, or piecing together clues from old shipwrecks, his mind is always chasing the next mystery. You’ll find him staring out at the horizon, wondering what secrets the ocean is still hiding and how far he’ll have to go to uncover them.

For Sen, knowledge is the greatest treasure of all. He believes that the ocean, every sunken artifact, and every old legend passed down through generations holds a piece of the truth.

He isn't just searching for answers, he's searching for understanding, for a connection to something greater. Even when the journey is uncertain and the ocean keeps its secrets locked away, he never loses his curiosity. The real adventure isn’t just in discovering the unknown in the search itself!

Yin Zhen

Inspired by: Baihao Yinzhen (White Tea)

Traits: Kind, caring, gentle

There’s no such thing as being too kind like that one classmate who always lets you borrow a pencil without complaining. That’s Yin Zhen! She always pays attention, offering help before it’s even asked for. No matter how big or small the problem, she listens with an open heart and does whatever she can to make things better.

But while she’s gentle and caring, Yin Zhen is also super shy. You might have to lean in just to hear her soft voice (but please don’t yell at her or she might cry) but that doesn’t stop her from making friends! She’s very understanding and warm that people naturally feel comfortable around her. Even the most unlikely Gaidopians end up being drawn to her kindness.

Yin Zhen spends most of her time in the Gaidopet Kingdom, home to Gaidopia’s magical creatures. She loves to care for Gaidopets, garden, and play the flute!

She also has a special gift, she can understand what creatures say! Being able to hear them when others can’t has taught her that everyone deserves kindness, even those who stay quiet or go unnoticed.

Jin

Inspired by: Jinsi (Black Tea)

Traits: Calm, patient, knowledgeable

Jin is like the big brother of Gaido Village, but not the kind who plays pranks and uses his “older sibling privileges” ; he is kind, calm, and always knows how to help. If you were a little kid throwing a tantrum he would find a way to calm you down with 0% threats of calling the cops on you.

Jin is also a master of pottery! His family owns the oldest known pottery shop in all of Gaidopia. Most of the teapots, cups, and pots in Gaidopia were made by him. That fancy teapot on an old lady’s windowsill? He made it for her 78th birthday. The teacup in Sen’s cupboard? A gift after he accidentally crashed his bike in Sen’s backyard. Every piece he makes has a story, and he puts care and love into all of them. Besides making teapots, Jin loves learning about all kinds of history to improve his craft. But when he’s not in serious history mode, he secretly loves to watch TV shows and collect comic books!

The art of pottery has shaped who Jin is today. Creating the perfect teapot isn’t easy, and he has learned patience, resilience, and the value of mistakes through his craft.

Just like how every teapot is unique, Jin sees the same in people, always taking the time to understand and appreciate those around him.

Gen

Inspired by: Genmaicha Green Tea

Traits: Cheerful, fun-loving, problem solver

Gen is Gaidopia’s baking genius and the heart (and stomach) behind The Ricecake Treat! No pastry is ever boring in her kitchen. Why settle for plain old cake when you can have a cake that blows confetti in every bite? Her cheerful and fun-loving personality shows through in every cake she bakes!

Because of her enthusiastic nature, she became Gaidopia’s official party planner. If there’s a party or even a random Tuesday that just feels like it needs some confetti, she’s already setting up decorations and organizing games. She remembers every birthday, every special occasion, and somehow always manages to surprise people even when they expect it.

Baking may not always be easy. It takes patience, creativity, and a willingness to keep trying new things. But Gen knows how to make it work. And it’s the same approach she brings to helping her friends.

Whether it's brainstorming new solutions to a problem or offering a helping hand, she shows that sometimes a little sweetness is the best recipe for getting through life’s challenges.

Matchan

Inspired by: Matcha (Green Tea)

Traits: Popular, trendy, lively

What’s the latest news? The coolest trends? Are socks and sandals in again? If there’s something exciting happening in Gaidopia, Matchan is the first to know! Not in a nosy way though. She loves reporting the news whether it’s a new exclusive gluten-free bakery opening, or a big event, she’s always on top of it.

Running the most popular blog in all of Gaidopia has earned her a reputation as the go-to source for anything and everything trending. But it’s not just about popularity, Matchan loves bringing people together through her discoveries by sharing stories, and keeping everyone in the loop.

When she’s not busy blogging, she’s out vlogging her adventures, or making new friends!

But Matchan wasn’t always this confident, She used to be incredibly shy.

At first, she tried to fit in by copying others, but it never felt right. Eventually, she realized the best thing she could be was herself. Now, through her blog and videos, she hopes to inspire others to embrace who they are and share their own stories with the world!

Ziya

Inspired by: Purple Black Tea

Traits: Cool, Competitive, Music Lover

Do you hear that? That's the sound of Ziya rocking out on her electric guitar, and trust us, you won’t find her without it! She’s cool, competitive, (a little too competitive especially if it's a competition on who can play the fastest guitar riffs) and free-spirited. You can catch her every weekend night performing at Gaido Village Park’s outdoor stage. If she’s not performing, you’ll find her at her very own music shop and recording studio, “Ziya’s Tune Shop,” where she’s always helping others create the perfect sound.

Ziya is also the lead of her one-woman band, “Ziya and the Ziyas.” She dreams of being the biggest musician in Gaidopia, touring across the land, and spreading her music everywhere she goes.

For Ziya, music isn’t about fame or winning, it’s her way of expressing herself and connecting with others. Every performance, every song, is a piece of her that she shares with the world. Whether the crowd is small or tough competitions, Ziya finds joy in doing what she loves and staying true to herself.

Gyo

Inspired by: Gyokuro Green Tea

Traits: Resilience, creativity, team player

When a parent gives a child a crayon, it could go two ways. He could either make you go bankrupt from the amount of paint you’d need to cover up the scribbles on the walls, OR become the greatest artist Gaidoipia has ever seen. Gyo’s parents were hesitant but were relieved that they made the right choice. But it didn’t seem like that at the start.

Gyo had always been destined for art. As a child, his world was a canvas, and his paintbrush left no surface untouched. Walls, furniture, even his toys became vibrant masterpieces. For his sixth birthday, his parents swapped their frustration for support and gave him real art supplies. Overjoyed, Gyo went from messy doodles to portraits of his toy robots and friends (though the eyes often ended up in funny places).

But Gyo’s journey as an artist wasn’t just about skill, it was about resilience, creativity, and learning from those around him. Art wasn’t always easy; there were times when his paintings didn’t turn out the way he wanted or when inspiration felt just out of reach. But instead of giving up, Gyo kept pushing forward; finding new ways to express himself and improve.

It's always been Gyo's dream to have his work displayed for the world to see. You can probably find Gyo wandering through the galleries of the Gaido City Museum of Art. He likes to analyze paintings and their meaning, and even try re-creating his favorite pictures. When he's not making art or looking at art, he likes to do calligraphy! But what truly helped Gyo grow as an artist was the people around him.

He learned that art wasn’t just about creating alone, it was about sharing ideas, collaborating, and seeing the world through different perspectives.

Sheng

Inspired by: Sheng Pu-erh

Traits: Dedicated, hard working

Gaido-Slam is THE martial arts of Gaidopia, and Gaidopia’s Number 1 Gaido-Slam master, didn’t start as the legend he is today. His journey involved sneaking to the living room to extend his TV time and a fish. But it began as a dream—mastering the art of slams, kicks, and punches inspired by the legendary Tiger Tornado, whose signature spinning move and fierce roar captured Sheng’s imagination.

Now, as a true Gaido-Slam master, Sheng knows that the journey never really ends. There’s always something new to learn, another challenge to face.

Fueled by excitement (and maybe a little too much confidence), Sheng enrolled in the elite Gaido-Slam Academy, expecting to rise to the top instantly.

But reality hit hard. Literally. Every failed kick, every stumble, and every loss taught him that mastery wasn’t about talent alone; it was about resilience, learning from mistakes, and never giving up. With every training session, he pushed himself further, turning failures into stepping stones toward greatness.

Jasmine

Inspired by: Jasmine Green Tea

Traits: Popular, trendy, lively

Jasmine is Gaidopia’s ultimate fashion guru! But not just in judging fashion, she makes them too in her very own “Pearl Boutique,” where she turns fabric into fabulousness. When it comes to sewing, she’s all business. Serious, precise, and probably calculating the exact angle of your hemline as you blink. Perfection isn’t just a goal for her; it’s an art form, and every stitch must be a masterpiece. She is elegant, dramatic, (a little too dramatic especially when she cuts the fabric the wrong way) and like a big sister to all.

When she's not busy making the world of Gaidopia look like a fashion magazine, Jasmine is behind the scenes at Gaidopia’s most dramatic and unforgettable plays. She writes the scripts, designs the costumes, and convinces her friends to take on acting roles they never thought they’d be brave enough to play.

For Jasmine, creating a play isn’t just about the performance. It’s about telling a story that resonates with everyone involved.

She pours her heart into every costume, every script, knowing that the work she does can bring out the best in others. She’s not just making Gaidopia look fabulous, she’s helping people find confidence in themselves and shine in ways they never expected.
