I'm so happy you're here! Welcome to Auntie Kaela, a little corner of the world where imagination comes alive, music tells a story, and little hearts have big adventures.
If you're new here, I'm Mikaela Harris, the creator behind Auntie Kaela. What started as something special for my niece and nephew has grown into something I truly love doing, and I can't wait to share it with you!
A Little Piece of My Childhood
Growing up, I loved using my imagination. I listened to Patch the Pirate and Adventures in Odyssey, and I spent hours playing Barbies while listening to soundtracks from my favorite movies, including Narnia and Disney.
Those soundtracks weren't just music playing in the background. They helped me imagine entire worlds, create characters, and dream up stories of my own. Looking back, I realize just how much those experiences helped shape the creativity I have today.
And that's something I want to encourage in children, too!
Why Stories and Music Matter
Today, children are surrounded by screens and digital entertainment. While technology can be wonderful, I also believe there's something special about giving children the opportunity to slow down, listen, imagine, and create their own adventures.
A story can take a child somewhere they've never been. A song can help them understand a feeling. A character can teach them about kindness, friendship, or making good choices.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little imagination to open up a whole new world!
More Than Just Stories
At Auntie Kaela, my goal is to bring together storytelling, music, learning, and meaningful lessons in ways children can enjoy.
That means exploring colors and letters, learning about big feelings, discovering the joy of creativity, and even introducing little ones to Bible verses and the gospel in ways they can begin to understand.
I want to create stories that entertain children while giving them something meaningful to carry with them long after the music ends.
