From Working the Floor to Flourishing: My Journey to Authentic Glow

I know the hustle of working the floor. I’ve been there—straightening racks at Sears, learning sales at Nordstrom, moving boxes at Amazon, helping customers at Avenue, and even selling the latest styles at Rave, Gadzooks, and Underground Station. Those jobs taught me something I didn’t fully understand at the time: the floor is where you learn how to rise.

Every store floor became a classroom:

• Sears taught me patience with people and how to serve with a smile, even when I was exhausted.
• Nordstrom taught me that service, done with excellence, makes you unforgettable.
• Underground Station taught me to meet people where they are—style is confidence, and confidence sells.
• Rave & Gadzooks taught me energy—fast pace, creativity, and the power of trends.
• Amazon taught me systems and efficiency.
• Avenue taught me the beauty of representation—helping women feel good in their own skin.

What felt like just “working the floor” was really preparing me for something bigger.

One day, I realized I didn’t just want to work someone else’s floor—I wanted to build my own. I wanted a business where I could take everything I learned and pour it into women who are ready to glow from the inside out.

That’s how Authentic Glow Coaching was born.

Now, instead of selling clothes or products, I’m helping women style their mindset, shift their presence, and flourish in ways they never imagined. Because when we are out in this world, we need to make sure that we as women show up for one another. You know someone asked me the other day what marriage advice I'd give to a couple, and it was: 'In tough times turn to one another (each other), not on one another (each other).'
