Kami is an Ohio native and mother of two. She developed a love for reading at a very young age. She started writing short stories and poetry in middle school as a means of healing. She quickly realized the therapeutic power that words can bring.
She is also an entrepreneur as well as a Book Blogger of @KamisKurrentReads where she uses her platforms to highlight black authors in the industry. She has a passion for not only books but the black authors behind the books.
Her goal is create passionate relatable Black Love stories like the ones that made her fall in love with reading, while continuing to support and uplift the black/urban fiction industry.

What a awesome romance, with a whole lot.of grown up feel. This was not only a well written story but we got really good storytelling.
The fact that our two main characters kept running into one another made every scene with them exciting every time you read a scene with them in it.
I loved the chemistry between the cast of characters and its effortless. This was a feel good story about overcoming your fears, recognizing love when it comes your way, the art of forgiveness and most of all believing in that man upstairs. This is a story to pass along and one for the book club.

The way Kami draws you in and makes you fall in love with these characters and their stories is something serious. I wept and rejoiced for Ciyani so much throughout this book.
To have genuine people come in and love, push, encourage, hype you up, and support you and your siblings when you want to quit and give up is everything.
Her squad especially Justice who had become her peace and saving grace were awesome to her. He was genuine, a nurturer, people person, and loving. He had all the qualities a good man possesses and seemed to be made just for Ciyani.

This was such a good read. I love Kami’s writing anyhow so I knew this short read would hit just like her longer novels do.
I was expecting just a cute and hot second chance romance but baby that twist stopped me in my tracks! Messy, trifling, funny, lovely main characters- I enjoyed it all!
